Nexus 21 gets smart with new IP Apex motorised TV wall mount

Nexus 21’s new Apex motorised TV wall mount is now available in the UK through distributor, Invision.

Bringing new innovation to the market, Nexus 21 has engineered the Apex to create a purpose-built system to solve any potential challenges an installer might face, with a host of versatile feature to bring multiple benefits to both the installer and end user.

Apex is said to be the first motorised wall mount ever created that fits completely inside the wall and has an ultra-thin installation profile of the ¾-in. With fluid, smooth and quiet motions, the Apex has also been designed to move in multiple directions and to pre-set positions.

Another first, the Apex features IP control and feedback to allow for complete integration with control systems.

Nexus 21’s ‘Smart Drive’ technology is integrated into the Apex mount to prevent damage or breakages when moved manually. It enables Apex to be actively aware of its position so it can recover from unexpected changes to its path and to instantly release when encountering resistance.

For added flexibility, its versatile wall box allows the Apex to be mounted either in-wall or on-wall with a simple three-step installation process by a single technician. To fine-tune positioning of the TV, three-point adjustments can be made, correcting its position in the unlikely event of an uneven installation.

Providing a sleek aesthetic and prevention of cable wear and tear, the TV mount has dedicated component-mounting locations, as well as the proprietary COBRA Concealed Cable Management System.

The Apex can hold TVs from 50 to 80-in, weighing up to 100 lbs. When mounted in the wall, it has a 0.6-in depth from the wall, and 4.4-in when it is mounted on the wall. Depending on the TV’s width, the mount can swivel up 55 degrees at a speed of 1.5-in per second.
