Optoma has unveiled the new GT5000 projector with an ultra-short lens that allows extra-large 100in. images on any wall, with the projector placed just 30cm away. The company says it is ideal for living rooms and active gamers  with its Full HD 1080p resolution and high brightness (3,000 ANSI lumens) for use with the lights on and with just 33ms input lag and quick response time.

Optoma’s Head of Product Marketing, Justin Halls, said: “People using their TV for gaming, sports and films are missing out. The portable 100in. super-sized imagery offered by the GT5000 enables everyone to enjoy high resolution, life-size images in any room in their home.â€
Easy to set-up, the GT5000’s broad connectivity includes two HDMI inputs for connection to any device. This means games consoles, Blu-ray players or digital television set top boxes can be simultaneously connected, making switching between sources literally the push of a button.Â
The GT5000 comes complete with a built-in speaker that delivers 16W of audio andÂ
can be turned into a smart display by connecting a HDMI dongle like the HDCast Pro, Google Chromecast or Apple TVâ„¢ to play games, stream videos and share photos on the big screen at home.
The GT5000 can also display true 3D content from almost any 3D source, including 3D Blu-ray players, 3D broadcasting and the latest generation games consoles. Support for 144Hz rapid refresh rate provides ultra-smooth flicker free images.
