RTI has announced a new integration with Sonos, introducing expanded search and playback capabilities within RTI control systems.
The driver, built on the updated Sonos search API, has been verified through the Works with Sonos program to ensure reliability for installers and end users.
Expanded search and discovery
The updated driver allows native search across Sonos S2 devices, enabling users to find albums, songs, and stations directly from RTI touchscreens or mobile apps. Recently played content can also be accessed and relaunched across supported services, while playlist integration enables viewing and playback of playlists from within the RTI interface.
Secure authentication and home theatre features
The driver incorporates OAuth authentication for simplified, secure access to third-party streaming services. It also provides extended home theatre control, including Sonos soundbar integration with Sonos Ace headphones, plus support for Night Sound and Speech Enhancement features for improved late-night listening and dialogue clarity.
Unified control environment
Within the RTI system, Sonos playback can be synchronised with lighting, shading, and other automation functions to create integrated scenes across the home.
Availability
The new Sonos driver is available now through RTI Integration Designer software.
RTI will demonstrate the integration at CEDIA Expo 2025 on the AVPro Global booth (#1501).
