Samsung announces Freestyle Gen 2 with Gaming Hub

Samsung says its Freestyle Gen 2 is set to become the world’s first projector with cloud gaming built-in, that works with Bluetooth controllers.

The Freestyle Gen 2 is a portable smart projector transforms a surface into a screen of up to 100-in. The new model, SP-LFF3CLA, provides instant access to streaming entertainment platforms and features Samsung Gaming Hub, allowing gameplay from Xbox and other streaming partners without a console.

The Freestyle projects content in 30 to 100-in of screen, and automatically optimizes for full high-definition viewing at 1080×1920 resolution. It includes a cradle stand that users can tilt with a rotation of 180-degrees for floor-to-ceiling viewing flexibility. It is made with built-in 360 sound to allow for an enhanced audio experience.  It can also be used portably as it can be connected to a personal portable battery without an outlet, while weighing less than 1kg.

The Freestyle supports apps such as Spotify, YouTube, and Twitch, allowing for on-demand streaming.

The Freestyle is built with Tizen OS, allowing for use of Built built-in services and apps connected to Samsung Smart TVs.
