Samsung launches Cinematic soundbars enhanced for QLED TVs

Samsung Electronics has announced two new Cinematic soundbars featuring Samsung’s Acoustic Beam technology and the new Adaptive Sound feature.

The HW-Q70R and HW-Q60R soundbars offer an immersive surround sound experience for home cinema as part of the collaboration between Samsung Audio Lab and Harman Kardon.

The new Adaptive Sound feature analyses the content playing through the new soundbars and adjusts the sound in real time to fit the sound setting for any given scene. This feature is automatically activated when connected to a Samsung 2019 QLED TV.

Also featuring Samsung’s flagship Acoustic Beam technology, the soundbars have a unique speaker design firing through an array of fine holes to create a panoramic soundscape to fill the room.

An additional feature to the HW-Q70R soundbar is Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive, object-based surround sound technology. This has only previously been available in the high end HW-N950 and HW-N850 models.

To fit in with the Q70R QLED TV, the HW-Q70R soundbar is slim in design, with a height of 2.3-in.

The new Cinematic soundbars also have Bluetooth connectivity, allowing homeowners to play music from their smartphones.

The HW-Q60R soundbar is available now with an RRP of £599.99. The HW-Q70R soundbar will be available in April with an RRP of £799.99.
