Sonos has released its first-ever speaker for professional installation in residential spaces.
The Era 100 Pro, an end-to-end solution, will be exclusively sold in pairs through select Sonos partners specialising in professional installation.
The product is launched at the same time as Zones, a new software feature via a Sonos app update that configures speakers together and extends control over large installations.
It will be available alongside the separately sold Era 100 Pro Surface Mount, a flexible solution with 30° pan/tilt ranges and 360° rotation.
Patrick Spence, CEO of Sonos, said: “With a focus on creating the best solutions for our installer community, we have built a strong team of industry veterans across product, engineering, sales and more to lead our professional developments.
“In collaboration with our global partners, we’re committed to furthering our commercial business and offering new, much needed solutions to this market.”
The Era 100 Pro is optimised for PoE+ and can also be used with standard PoE, benefiting from wired-first networking and integration.
The speaker covers a 240° horizontal dispersion from its compact profile, supported by two 0.63” silk angled drivers.
It provides unique low frequency performance within the PoE speaker category.
The mount, which accommodates hidden or exposed cabling, has a locking base plate with a built-in threaded insert and optional eyebolt as a safety attachment point.
With a single cable that delivers both power and data, the Era 100 Pro removes the need for AC mains at each speaker location to offer unique configurations in various locations.
The solution has received positive feedback from the installer community since its announcement, being named as an audio finalist by Inavate in its 2025 Technology Awards.
