Kaleidescape has launched the latest addition to its Terra Prime server line.
Positioned as the company’s “most compact” movie server, the new Mini Terra Prime enters the market at a lower cost to cater for additional storage needs.
Tayloe Stansbury, chairman and CEO of Kaleidescape, said: “This is the perfect complement for Kaleidescape M and E reference-quality movie players.
“The Mini Terra Prime is Kaleidescape’s most compact movie server, but it delivers a mighty punch: fast downloads, high performance playback and ample storage.”
Sized identically to the brand’s Strato M and E movie players, the model features 8TB internal solid-state storage to store approximately 125 Kaleidescape 4K movies.
Movies download in as little as four minutes over a 2.5 gigabit Ethernet connection.
Additionally, the Mini Terra Prime supports up to 25 simultaneous playbacks with no loss in quality. It can be paired with a Strato V. E, or M standalone system.
Kaleidescape movie files are typically ten times larger than streamer movies, retaining lossless audio and near lossless video fidelity from studio masters.
