Leica launches projector with imaging processing technology

The Cine Play 1, Leica’s latest projector, combines laser technology with Leica imaging quality in 4K resolution at up to 300’ screen size.

Its smart functions and smooth handling aim to deliver a premium home cinema experience, boasting a service life of over 25,000 hours. The projector offers bright colour rendition with full support for Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG.

With a brightness of up to 3000 ANSI lumens, the Cine Play 1 also enables high contrast projection in brightly lit environments.

The projector’s Summicron zoom lens is manufactured in compliance with Leica quality standards, guaranteeing consistent imaging performance in 4K resolution throughout its zoom range with screen sizes of 65 to 300’.

Leica's own image processing technology, Leica Image Optimisation (LIO), uses special image algorithms to ensure natural colour rendition, nuanced gradation and contrast ratio. The projector's two 10-Watt speakers deliver rich bass tones and clear sound, developed by the integrated DTS Virtual:X audio-signal processing technology for a 3D surround-sound system.

The Leica Cine Play 1 can also connect with preferred equipment and home entertainment systems using ports for HDMI, USB and LAN. The VIDAA system offers quick access to all favourite streaming apps, supported by smart home integration and voice control.

The lightweight projector is easy to carry and can be set up without the need for permanent installation, making it suitable for both the in- and outdoors. Integrated automatic alignment functions enable image and focus settings with no requirement for manual fine-tuning.

Available as an optional accessory, the Floor Stand integrates the home cinema setup as an eye-catching design in any room. A secure pin contact system allows the projector to be powered discreetly through the baseplate of the Floor Stand, requiring no visible power cable.
