Optoma launches new dual-laser projector with up to 30,000 hours of image life

Optoma has added a sustainable and space-saving model "that fits beautifully into modern homes" to its home cinema range.

Along with colour accuracy and intelligent image processing, the UHZ58LV features powerful audio with Dolby Atmos passthrough, WiSA certification and eARC connectivity.

The new model houses an advanced dual-laser light source that produces 3,000 lumens of brightness and covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. This dual-laser system offers lifelike images that remain consistent for up to 30,000 hours without the need for lamp replacements.

Beyond its visuals, the system reduces energy consumption to offer a more sustainable choice for home entertainment enthusiasts. Its compact design also features 1.6x zoom, vertical lens shift, four-corner correction and 360-degree projection.

Oliver Blundell, project manager at Optoma, said: “The UHZ58LV makes advanced laser projection more accessible without compromising quality.

“It delivers the cinematic performance Optoma is known for - sharp 4K resolution, brilliant colour, and intelligent visual processing - in a compact, flexible design that fits beautifully into modern homes.”

Optoma’s proprietary image processing technology, PureEngine Ultra, ensures each frame is rendered with dynamic contrast, sharpness and fluid motion. It works with HDR10+ to reproduce deep blacks, bright highlights and film-grade contrast as directors intended.

Additionally, the UHZ58LV includes Filmmaker Mode to maintain the original frame rate, colour profile and aspect ratio of the source material. It comes with ISF Day and Night modes, enabling calibration for optimal picture quality in any lighting environment.

For gamers, the projector offers ultra-low input lag down to 8.5ms at 1080p to ensure swift, responsive gameplay.
