Samsung has launched a projector with touchscreen interaction in South Korea, developing immersive experiences across entertainment and gaming.
The Premiere 5, debuted in January at CES 2025, delivers the direct interaction when mounted in a supportive stand – and detects up to 10 simultaneous touch points in its projected image.
Complete with a built-in SmartThings hub, the compact UST projector integrates with smart devices in the home and highlights notifications through its projected screen.

While infrared (IR) cameras and lasers enable touchscreen functionality, the projector also delivers 1080p picture quality with support for both HDR+ and HLG content.
Additionally, Vision Boost technology senses the brightness of surrounding light and automatically adjusts screen colour and contrast in response.
In an official statement, Heon Lee, executive vice president of visual display business at Samsung Electronics, said: “The Premiere 5 is a lifestyle-centric product designed to enable immersive experiences anytime, anywhere, beyond content.”
On the projector, users can launch Samsung TV Plus and various free platforms with voice control.
Equipped with Dolby Atmos, Moving Sound Lite (OTS Lite) and Q-Symphony, the projector can also stream music using AirPlay and Bluetooth.
Lee emphasised the product's important role in driving high standards of screen experiences in the home.
