Ultimea launches short-throw laser projector

The Thor T50 Laser TV can throw 80-in corner-to-corner visuals from 4-in away from the display surface, or 150-in from 25.90-in away.

The UST projector is a sibling to the Thor T60.The T50 puts out 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160) visuals at up to 150 diagonal inches and has a single blue laser light source capable of 3,000 ANSI lumens.

The Dolby Vision ultra-short-throw projector covers 130% of the Rec.709 colour gamut, supports HDR10, and uses MEMC technology for fast-moving scenes. It runs Android TV 11 for access to entertainment streamed over dual-band Wi-Fi, apps such as Disney+, HBO, Prime Video and Apple TV and Chromecast are pre-built for ease of access. A low-latency mode gets input lag over HDMI to under 15 m/s for smoother gameplay.

One of the unit's two HDMI 2.1 ports includes audio return, plus there is Ethernet LAN, USB, and Bluetooth connectivity available. Analogue and digital audio outputs allow for connections to sound systems. The T50 has its own built-in Dolby Atmos speakers that are each rated for 10 Watts. The bundled remote comes with Google Assistant for voice commands.
