You’ve waited a long time, and it’s finally here… just in time for Christmas: Sonos will offer full Alexa control of Spotify music streaming services before 21 December, 2017.
Sonos’ early Christmas present that speaker owners everywhere were waiting with baited breath for comes following the much-anticipated unveiling the Alexa-controlled Sonos speaker last month.
The move means Sonos and Spotify users will soon be able to navigate artists, albums and playlists without lifting a finger and simply by voice command (organisers of seasonal end-of-year parties everywhere rejoice).
With the Sonos One featuring built-in Amazon Alexa technology, controlling Spotify is simplified to be even more direct. It’s also good news for Echo Dot owners who may lament its shoddy audio performance, as now they can now stream music via Spotify on their Sonos speakers. Win-win.
The release with coincide with the launch of the HomePod, Apple’s pricier smart speaker, coming out in December.
