Rithum has released a new app for its installations on iOS and Android, giving clients remote control of their heating, cooling and hot water.
The Rithum Home app launches alongside My Rithum, a platform for homeowners to finetune their configuration while maintaining the installer relationship.

The app mirrors the Rithum Stat interface running on the wall, with every zone controlled by the system showcasing its own setpoint and seven-day schedule.
Home, Away and Holiday modes apply to the whole property, but the behaviour of each is configured zone by zone: Away might switch the kitchen off, for example, or leave a nursery running as it was.
Scheduling continues to run on the Switch itself rather than in Rithum’s cloud, ensuring a property keeps local control of its heating through an internet outage.
The app launches with Rithum Stat control, with further capability to follow.
The company says the app addresses how clients increasingly assume phone control as standard, which has often meant introducing a second system alongside the one specified for integrators.
Ryan Ovens, founder and CEO of Rithum, said: “This is the Rithum Switch in your pocket, and it is included.
“The room still runs from the wall, as it always has — the app is simply for the times you are not standing in front of it.”
Rithum Home presents the same interface the client already uses on the wall and requires no additional hardware.
While specification, configuration and job management remain in the Rithum Project Portal, My Rithum provides the new client-facing counterpart.
On completion the installer issues an invitation, and a client who accepts it takes those Switches on to an account of their own; this gives them the ability to adjust the system themselves, although Rithum says this does not displace the integrator relationship.
The platform also introduces backup and restore, allowing a Switch’s configuration to be saved and reapplied either to the same unit or replacement to simplify warranty exchange.
The same saved setup can be used as a template for the next room.
My Rithum is available to Rithum owners at no charge, covering device status, remote restart and over-the-air firmware updates.
A subscription adds the elements dependent on Rithum’s cloud: configuration backup, remote configuration changes, extended warranty of up to four years (Standard) or five (Enhanced), and upgrade credit accruing towards future Rithum hardware.
Plans are charged per Switch, with the rate falling as the number of Switches increases.
