Hisense elevates home theatre offering with ultra-short throw PL2 Laser Cinema projector

Consumer tech company Hisense has launched the latest addition to its home theatre solution line-up, the ultra-short throw (UST) PL2 Laser Cinema projector.

Vibrant visuals on a cinematic scale

The PL2 houses advanced X-Fusion laser technology, capable of producing billions of colours, and HDR10 with 2,700 ANSI lumens of brightness and a native contrast ratio of 3,000:1. The 4K picture quality and AI upscaling are paired with two top-firing speakers featuring Dolby Atmos. The design is tailored for UST and simple installation, delivering a 0.22 throw ratio in compact spaces. Projection size is customisable and ranges from 80’ to 150.’

The X-Fusion technology, complemented by Dolby Vision and HDR10, produces clear images with deep shadows and highlights. Filmmaker Mode, ALLM and MEMC ensure smooth playback for movies, sports, and gaming alike.

User-centric design for home integration

The PL2 runs on the intuitive Google Smart TV OS for popular streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video. Compatible with Control4, AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit, the projector allows connectivity with other smart devices at home. Active 3D capability allows users to enjoy a variety of animation and action-based content in increased depth.

‘Big screen viewing options for all spaces’

David Gold, president of Hisense Americas and USA, said: “Hisense is committed to transforming the way people experience home entertainment.
