Auton’s Dream Machine enters CEDIA Product Hall of Fame

Auton Motorised Systems has revealed that its Dream Machine lift has been entered into CEDIA’s exclusive Product Hall of Fame.

CEDIA’s Product Hall of Fame is designed to honour legacy products that have had a significant positive impact on the CE industry and CEDIA members around the world. Just a few products are chosen each year to be inducted on the Product Hall of Fame and the Dream Machine Under Bed Lift was selected for its unique plug-and-play design that solves the customer’s need for displays to be hidden from view without a lift cabinet or other furniture.

“When we created the Dream Machine, our goal was simplicity and elegance,” said Art Walker, CEO of Auton Motorised Systems. “Taking 30 years of experience building custom lifts for high-end homes and exclusive resorts, we engineered a solution that installers could simply pull out the box, connect, and slide under the bed.

“It not only saves installers time on the job but offers homeowners a lift that works with any décor and bed. The display is completely out of sight when it’s not in use, revealing itself sleekly with just a push of a button. We’re incredibly honoured to join the Hall of Fame ranks and other highly esteemed audiovisual and smart home products.”

The idea for the Dream Machine was born in response to architects and interior designers feeling limited in how to approach integrating and concealing displays in bedrooms. The master bedroom is typically designed with aesthetics or a view in mind and installing a cabinet at the foot of the bed might restrict design choices and obstruct any views outside.

This led to the Dream Machine which was the first non-furniture solution that completely concealed the display in the room by storing it in the unused space under the bed. It can be used with almost any bed frame and is ideal for both retrofit and new home installations.

Being a simple plug-and-play solution, the lift arrives ready to go and installs in just 30 minutes. Installers simply mount the displays, route the cables, slide it under the bed and plug it in. This saves both time and money for the installer and the customer. It is not bolted to the bedframe so can easily be moved to other rooms when required.

Models offer 180-degree swivel and supports displays up to 80”. It is also compatible with third-party control systems, including AMX, Control4, Crestron, Lutron, RTI, Savant, and more.
