International Home Cinema Day to raise industry awareness

The Home Cinema Alliance (HCA) has created an International Home Cinema Day.

Planned for October 26, 2025, the day will promote the concept of home cinema to consumers and related trades such as interior designers.

The initiative aims to spotlight the magic of movies, sports, TV, and documentaries in a well-designed private cinema.

International Home Cinema Day encourages the showcase of such ‘amazing spaces’ across social media channels and in person.

Installation companies and other stakeholders like distributors and manufacturers will be encouraged to engage consumers in home cinema demonstrations.

The day will be an opportunity for HCA members to promote themselves and their work, inviting the whole industry and anyone interested in home cinema to get involved.

Stuart Burgess, director and founder of the HCA, said: “Most consumers still don’t know just how good a home cinema can be, and it’s our job to bring that excitement into their lives... We look to build International Home Cinema Day into a regular and powerful driver for the home cinema market.

“I would encourage all those with an interest in home cinema to get in touch: let’s discuss how we can make this new initiative a big success, putting home cinema uppermost in the minds of consumers via International Home Cinema Day.”

The #InternationalHomeCinemaDay tag will be used in all posts relating to the event during its run-up and on the day itself.
