CEDIA Announces Technical Judges Line Up

CEDIA has revealed the names of those responsible for the technical round of judging now that the deadline for entries into this year’s CEDIA Awards has passed.

Geoff Meads, Managing Director of Presto AV and leading education instructor for CEDIA EMEA and Simon Buddle, CEDIA’s Education Director will head up the technical round of judging. Joining them and returning for their second year on the panel, is John Niebel, lighting control expert and CEO of amBX UK Ltd and Olaf Adam, consultant, content creator and corporate storyteller for his own company, Content21 and former Vice President of the EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association).

New this year to the panel is Rich Green, one of CEDIA’s highest ranking instructors. Rich Green is a CEDIA education instructor, CI veteran and an icon in the installation technology market, having worked alongside some of the biggest names in tech. Rich will be looking for only the best entries to come out on top in the CEDIA Awards this year.

Wendy Griffiths, Executive Director at CEDIA EMEA explains “During the technical judging stage, each anonymous entry will be reviewed and assessed on how it meets the technical criteria with close attention being paid to the industry best practice documentation. Once the judges have scored each entry, they will pass the project through to a shortlist, which will be reviewed by the final judging panel later this month.”

The winners of all categories will be unveiled at the CEDIA Awards 2016 black tie ceremony, taking place on Friday 1 July 2016 at The Guildhall in London. An early bird discount is available until Friday 20 May.
