CEDIA Heads to Scotland for Tech Forum

As part of its UK Tech Forum tour, CEDIA heads to Edinburgh for the first time this year for its popular free, one-day event for industry professionals in the home technology sector.

As the third event of its kind this year, CEDIA will arrive in Scotland later this month to host another jam-packed Tech Forum and Connect Talk event. Following the standard Tech Forum schedule, the day’s event will include ten 60-minute Manufacturer Product Training sessions from a selection of CEDIA Trade Supplier members.

Joining CEDIA in Edinburgh will be Anthem, AWE, Habitech, HDAnywhere, Just Add Power, Lutron EA, RTI, Savant, Teleste and Wyrestorm who are all sponsoring the event. Starting at 10am, two training sessions will run simultaneously throughout the day with the last training session concluding at 5:30pm.

Following the training sessions, Sam Woodward, Customer Education Leader of Europe and Africa at Lutron EA will host the day’s keynote, entitled Lighting Past, Present and Future. This session will allow attendees to discover how lighting and lighting control technology is evolving and how networks and user interfaces are leading the IoT revolution. It will also focus on why human-centric lighting matters more than ever before and how we are standing on a half-century of radical innovation that has brought us to where we are today.

The informal day aims to broaden all attendees’ knowledge within the home technology industry and develop their relationship with CEDIA, its partners and fellow members. After the Tech Forum, attendees are invited to join in with CEDIA’s popular networking event, Connect Talk at 6pm.
