McIntosh offers support to high-performance amplifiers with new stands

Two dedicated stands have been introduced from McIntosh, specifically designed to provide support for its highest performance monoblocks, but they can also give high-quality support to McIntosh integrated amplifiers and other hi-fi components.

The AS125 and AS901 Amplifier Stands are made from sustainably sourced solid white ash, an incredibly strong and durable wood resistant to both scratches and dents. They are constructed using a face-glued technique and feature an edge-grain top, which provides extreme strength, durability and stability.

The stands benefit from a 7.62cm-thick primary wood slab, finished with multiple coats of jet black stain, plus a catalysed lacquer topcoat to provide added vibrancy and depth. It also includes the iconic McIntosh logo faceplate, which is illuminated via the rear-mounted power control ports.

The stand’s four feet each have protective pads to minimise vibration as well as protect floors and surfaces.

Measuring 45.2 x 10.2 x 45.7 cm, the AS125 is ideal for McIntosh monoblock amplifiers past and present, but a single AS125 can also be deployed with McIntosh’s integrated amplifiers.

The AS901 is specifically designed to be used with the McIntosh MC901 Dual Mono Amplifier. The AS901 is the same width and height as the AS125 but is 30cm longer to match the length of the MC901.

Preorders for the stands can be placed now with shipping to the US and Canada expected to begin end of January, shortly followed by shipping to the rest of the world. The AS125 is priced at £3,495 and the AS901 is £3,995.
