CEDIA is delighted to announce that Kris Hogg, Managing Director of award-winning integration firm, Konnectiv will be the new Chair of its volunteer Board of Directors. Kris steps up to the new position, after a five month term as Vice Chair and over a year spent on the CEDIA Board. He will replace Gary Lewis to provide leadership on the Board as it helps shape the strategic direction for the residential custom installation industry in the years ahead throughout Region 1 (the UK, Europe, the CIS, the Middle East, Africa, India and Pakistan). “It is a great honour to represent the residential CI industry as CEDIA Chair,” explains Kris. “When I joined the Board, I promised to make a difference for the better and I will continue with that philosophy in this new capacity. For me, it’s very important that CEDIA keeps promoting the industry to consumers alongside architects and interior designers. We must also continue to grow and develop the range of education, marketing and professional benefits that add value to the businesses of CEDIA members.” Kris will serve for a 24 month period until December 2015. The announcement of the new Chair comes after the new Board was revealed at the AGM in November last year. The full volunteer CEDIA Board of Directors include: Krystian Zajac from It’s Done Technology, Elliott Hicks of Complete Home Control, Alister Smith from DLUK, Will Brocklebank from Face to Face Digital, Omar Hikal of Archimedia, Laura Neuwirth Lazzerini from Studio LGL, Tom Butler of Artcoustic and Hamish Neale from Leaf Audio. “We are thrilled to welcome Kris as the Chair,” says Wendy Griffiths, Executive Director of CEDIA Region 1. “Kris brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to the role and we are confident that he will be a passionate and effective leader of the CEDIA Board and help take the Association and the industry forward in the years ahead.” www.cedia.co.uk
