The 2015 CEDIA Awards will soon be open for entries. Details about the launch of the awards will be announced in the next few weeks, however all submissions must be received by Friday 24 April 2015.
CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) established its prestigious awards scheme in 2006 to celebrate excellence in home technology design, installation and integration across the EMEA region (the UK, Europe, Africa, the CIS, the Middle East, India and Pakistan). The CEDIA Awards scheme showcases the crème de la crème of smart home installations, setting the standard for industry professionals across CEDIA EMEA.
The scheme is free to enter and open to CEDIA members across the EMEA region. Following the introduction of its online entry system last year, CEDIA has confirmed it will be hosting online entries again for 2015. This time, details of questions and required documents will be visible on CEDIA’s dedicated awards website,
www.cediaawards.org/enter, so entering the awards has never been easier. Also available online are a number of resources to make entering the scheme a quick and easy process. Information on the categories and criteria, rules, helpful tips to win an award and a short webinar, covering “everything you need to know†is available to access in preparation for the CEDIA Awards 2015. For inspiration, visitors can visit the winner’s gallery’ to view winning projects from the previous years.
Wendy Griffiths, Executive Director at CEDIA EMEA says: “Details about the launch of the awards will come soon, however we wanted to highlight the deadline for submissions and encourage businesses to think about which projects they’re going to enter. Please put 24 April in your diaries! As you may know, we’ve tweaked the categories for this year’s awards in order to give even more talented teams the chance to be recognised. Each year the standard gets better and better, which is a strong reflection of the trajectory of the whole industry. The calibre of projects delivered by CEDIA members continues to astound me, and thanks to resources like the CEDIA education programme, the industry just keeps getting stronger and more impressive. I can’t wait to see what this year’s awards have in store.â€

2014 CEDIA Awards winner for Best Integrated Home over £250,000 (€290,000), Robin Courtenay (SMC), says: "We've always been a firm believer in the CEDIA Awards and have participated every year since they began. Entries now require more detailed technical documentation, in addition to lifestyle pictures, which has resulted in better recognition of projects with real merit. For SMC the awards bring welcome publicity and an opportunity to thank and reward individuals who have worked on the project."
