This designer-focused course is part of CEDIA’s three-year strategic plan to reach other professionals in the residential sector. Tech X Design is the next step in this plan to raise the profile of CEDIA members with interior designers, architects, specifiers, and other design and build professionals.
“CEDIA is committed to fostering an understanding of home technology with the design community – and providing a platform to learn, earn CPD points, and have open discussions,” said Giles Sutton, CEDIA’s senior vice president of industry engagement. “Showcasing how other designers are working with home technology integrators is exactly the goal of Tech X Design. We’ll provide the forum and we want you to immerse yourself in the intersections shared when brilliant design and technology meet.
“I am particularly excited about the panel sessions that we have pulled together,” he continued. “The impacts of technology in the home are undeniable, but many time, designers and architects don’t know where to start. That is why we’ve set up each panel session to include professionals from the technology space and from the design community. Facilitating an open dialogue about what collaboration looks like is the first step to any successful project.”
