CEDIA has today announced that it is introducing a new workshop supporting its members in developing their integration businesses, focusing on profitability, recruitment, and talent retention.
The new workshop, named ‘Growing Your Integration Business’, will be hosted at The Lutron Experience Centre in London on 23 November and will see business experts provide attendees with a toolkit of resources to help implement key changes in their business as it grows and evolves.
“Building a business and attracting talent is tough and has had additional challenges in the last couple of years,” said Wendy Griffiths, vice president of membership and global development. “The ‘Growing Your Integration Business’ event can help many of our brilliant, hard-working members learn strategies to overcome these challenges in their businesses.”
Leslie Shiner, owner of The Shiner Group, a consulting firm helping systems integrators gain financial control, will be presenting two sessions throughout the day. She has previously held education sessions for CEDIA which have always proved extremely popular. Shiner will be joined by Mina Machacek, who has over 20 years’ experience in the AV recruitment industry. Her in-depth knowledge, experience, and capacity to problem solve sets her apart as both a recruitment leader and business entrepreneur.
The one-day event will run from 9am until 4pm and will include three presentations designed to support owners and decision-makers in growing UK integration businesses. Attendees can expect to receive guidance on important operational and commercial topics from Shiner and Machacek, who will be sharing best practices, coping strategies and tips for success.
