CEDIA to host pre-awards future technologies workshop

CEDIA has announced that it will be hosting a three-hour workshop dedicating to exploring ‘Technology, Consumer Trends and Business Strategy’ before the industry gathers in Watford, London for the 2017 CEDIA Awards ceremony.

Hosted at the Lutron Experience Centre in London, the workshop will discuss what’s next on the horizon for the home technology industry. Concentrating on consumer and technology trends, the session will explore how these developments will affect businesses over the next five years.

The event is organised by CEDIA’s Technology Advisory Council and will begin with a brief update from each council member discussing their predictions for future trends in the technology market. Based on ideas covered, attendees will work in small groups to discuss and develop strategies to embrace opportunities and overcome potential challenges. Following the workshop session, integrators will be able to network with their fellow peers.

“This is a perfect opportunity for delegates to gain valuable insight into forthcoming developments” commented Matt Nimmons, managing director at CEDIA EMEA.

“In an industry that is constantly evolving, it is vital for businesses to understand the changing technology and consumer trends that will affect how they trade. Offering professionals the latest thinking and practical advice, the workshop will be an insightful pre-cursor for an evening of innovation at the 2017 CEDIA Awards.”
