CEDIA Training and Curriculum Guide 2015

By CEDIA. CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) has unveiled its 2015 Training and Curriculum Guide which provides a comprehensive overview of the association’s training and education programme for professionals working in the home technology industry. The 57-page guide details the new CEDIA education structure and certification programmes aimed at: installers wanting to develop their technical competences (e.g. the EST1 and EST2 certifications); designers involved in preparing formal documents for clients and specifiers (ESD1 and ESD2); engineers looking to develop their networking capabilities; and trade suppliers (CEU-accredited courses). Simon Buddle, CEDIA’s Director of Education said: “This detailed guide looks at the career paths available through CEDIA, and provides an overview of our courses, CEDIA certification and CEUs (continuing education units). The programme caters for newcomers as well as highly-experienced professionals. We’ve introduced a variety of new courses including some very niche topics, giving people the chance to be “generalists” or “specialists” in the field.” Each course is described in full, with information on what the course includes, the requirements before attending the training, and what attendees will achieve from the session. FAQ’s are included towards the back of the guide, alongside directions to the three training facilities in the UK.
