CES 2021 replaced with digital show

One of the world’s biggest consumer technology shows, CES, has been cancelled as a physical show for 2021 amid the Covid-19 pandemic and will instead be an all-digital experience.

The news was announced today by organisers, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), who have said: “With the growing global health concerns about the spread of Covid-19, it is not possible to safely convene tens of thousands of people in Las Vegas in early January 2021 to meet and do business in person.”

Instead, an all-digital CES 2021 will take place to allow the entire tech community to safely share ideas and introduce the products that will shape the consumer technology market’s future.

The CTA have promised participants a unique experience for the tech industry that is personalised to individuals.

Keynotes and conferences will be available to attend online, along with various product showcases that will allow attendees to explore products and services based on interests and business through dynamic product showcases or live demos. Visitors will also be able to engage with the brands, thought leaders and business connections with live interactions, meetups or roundtable discussions.

The digital CES 2021 is set to take place 6-9 January 2021 and plans to return as a normal in-person event in 2022.
