Chord Electronics’ to debut new power amp at The UK Hi-Fi Show Live 2019

Chord Electronics will be exhibiting at this weekend’s UK Hi-Fi Show Live 2019, demonstrating its new ULTIMA 3 mono power amplifiers for the first time in the UK.

The ULTIMA technology amplifiers have been in development for 30 years to create a range of products using three decades of UK amplifier design, engineering and manufacturing to deliver unique resolution, transparency and dynamics.

The company will use the show to introduce the benefits its new dual-feed-forward power amp technology, which also incorporates managing director John Franks’ own advanced concepts in ultra-high-frequency power supplies.

In addition to this focus, Chord Electronics’ show portfolio will also feature its flagship BLU MKII digital/CD transport, which includes the company’s latest FPGA-based 768KHz upscaling technology its reference-level DAC, DAVE, plus the company’s CPA5000 preamp.

Celebrating the best of British sound, Chord Electronics will be joined by KEF’s Blade 2 loudspeakers and Chord Company’s flagship ChordMusic cables to create a system that will show off the best of British audio engineering.

The new ULTIMA amplifier topology was first unveiled in October 2018 and was originally exclusive to the range-topping £30,000 ULTIMA power amp. However, the technology is now much more affordable having trickled down into the new ULTIMA 3 mono power amp at £11,000 each.

Chord Electronics can be found in the Windsor Forest room at The UK Hi-Fi Show Live 2019 this weekend at Ascot Racecourse.
