Dates for CEDIA Expo Virtual Experience announced

Following the cancellation of this year’s CEDIA Expo, show organisers Emerald and CEDIA have announced the CEDIA Expo Virtual Experience will take place from 15-17 September 2020, a week after the show was scheduled to take place.

In a “Save the Date” email to the press, organisers promised that attendees will “enjoy high-impact, inspirational sessions covering the industry’s hottest topics, have face-to-face meetings with brands, discover products, and most importantly, stay connected with your community!”

The first two days (15-16) of the Virtual Experience will see CEDIA hold a keynote address following by its virtual but interactive education conference, covering a wide range of business and technical topics, allowing participants to connect with industry experts while also exploring the latest technologies and gaining some insight into how to do business in a post-Covid-19 world. Manufacturers Product Training sessions will take place on 15 September.

The last two days (16-17) will consist of the CEDIA Expo Virtual Experience programming, which will include a series of Tech Talks, Keynotes, Design + Connection track, CE Pro Fireside Chats, and TechBites.

Attendees will also get the opportunity to visit the exhibitor’s virtual booths where they can access online training, video content, new product announcements and more. Appointments can also be made with exhibitors, as well as exhibitors being able to contact attendees in their booth for live conversations.

The CEDIA Expo Virtual Experience will take place as a three-day live event, but it will be available on-demand until the end of the year.

Registration for the event will open in early August. There will be a registration fee for CEDIA Education, but the rest of the experience will be free to attend. More details with a full agenda, sessions, and speaker line up will be revealed soon.
