With just a month to go until entries to the 2022 CEDIA EMEA Awards closes, the organisation is encouraging integrators to enter their projects before the deadline on Friday 22 April 2022.
Categories for this year’s awards include: Integrated Home; Media Room; Home Cinema; Showroom; Auto, Marine or Aircraft; and Multiple Dwelling Unit Design. CEDIA members can enter projects into multiple categories and judges will determine the appropriate level for each entry once the closing date is passed.
A panel of experienced industry experts will review all CEDIA Award entries from integrators and select finalists and winners based on specific technical criteria.
For more recognition, the Awards will also feature sub-categories, with winners selected from the winners and/or finalists in the main categories. Sub-categories include Excellence in Rack Cabling and Design; Excellence in Documentation; Excellence in Lighting; Excellence in Innovation; Life Lived Best at Home; Technology Meets Design; and a new sub-category for 2022, Excellence in User Interface Design.
Additionally, winners of the Home Cinema, Integrated Home, and Media Room categories will be considered for CEDIA Global Awards against other winners judged in the CEDIA Americas and CEDIA Asia Pacific Awards.
Manufacturers interested in the CEDIA Awards are also invited to submit products for “Best New Hardware” and “Best New Software” with a closing date of 6 May 2022.
“It’s that time of the year again when anticipation begins to grow for the 2022 CEDIA EMEA Awards,” said Matt Nimmons, managing director of CEDIA EMEA. “Integrators continue to deliver impressive projects and reach new heights of professionalism throughout the region and the CEDIA Awards are a great celebration of their achievements. We are looking forward to celebrating ‘the best of the best’ and seeing first-hand the innovation, quality, and expertise that our members provide to their clients in these amazing projects.”
Following the closure of entries on 22 April, EMEA finalists for installation categories will be announced in August. Winners will be announced during the CEDIA EMEA Awards ceremony, details of which will be announced later in the year.
To qualify for the 2022 programme, entrants must be active CEDIA members and projects need to have been completed between March 2020 and March 2022. To apply for the 2022 CEDIA Awards, integrators should have documentation and project information to hand. Full rules and details are available through the CEDIA Awards Entry Platform.
Entrants can find more information on the programme, the entry process and its benefits here. CEDIA has also created an Insiders’ Toolkit to help support members with their entries, which can be found on the same webpage. It includes all inside knowledge needed to create an awards entry, from entry criteria and judging FAQs to walkthroughs of the process and standards for benchmarking work.
