HIGH END 2020 cancelled due to coronavirus

Organisers of High End 2020 have decided to cancel the show, which was planned to take place in Munich from 14th to 17th May, due to the spread of coronavirus.

The HIGH END SOCIETY Service GmbH and HIGH END SOCIETY e.V took all criteria into consideration but decided to cancel the hi-fi trade show after the rapid increased spread in Italy within just a few days and it being unclear how the virus will continue to spread throughout Europe.

Cancelling the show so far in advance was a move to work towards averting possible economic losses of the exhibitors.

“We naturally regret having to take this step,” said Stefan Dreischärf, managing director of HIGH END SOCIETY Service GmbH. “But we take our duty of care towards our exhibitors, visitors and employees very seriously.”

Since the virus starting spreading throughout China in mid-January, organisers of the show have been assessing the situation daily. At the beginning of February, Chinese exhibitors were offered the option to withdraw their participation in this year’s show.

Around 500 trade visitors form 40 countries had already registered to attend HIGH END 2020. Anyone who has already purchased a ticket will be refunded.
