INSTEON, creators of the world’s premiere home automation and control technology, will be showing live demonstrations of its Microsoft Cortana integration at CEDIA Expo 2014 at the Sound Developments booth #850. “Our partnership from INSTEON was born from our mutual love of making the home better through technology,” said Barry Wosk, President, Sound Developments, a leading North American distributor of audiovisual products and accessories. “We truly value the partnerships that we have with top brands like INSTEON and cannot wait to connect with our current and future customers at CEDIA.” INSTEON formally announced its integration with Cortana in July 2014. Cortana is Microsoft’s intelligent assistant that uses natural language understanding and text to respond to users’ inquiries, launch applications and set/send reminders. The all-new digital assistant also offers proactive suggestions, providing useful recommendations as she gets to know each unique user. Integrating Cortana with INSTEON products enables users to accomplish a variety of tasks by simply speaking to Cortana. “Our Microsoft Cortana voice-activated technology integration shows INSTEON’s commitment to meeting the expectations of today’s connected home consumer,” said Joe Dada, CEO, INSTEON. “We wish to thank Sound Developments for hosting the booth and looking forward to sharing our solutions with everyone at the show.” www.insteon.com
