Largest ever installation of B&O BeoSound Shape opens

Bang & Olufsen’s BeoSound Shape is unquestionably one of the more striking audio products to be released in recent years, and the Danish manufacturer has celebrated its partnership with textiles partner, Kvadrat, by creating a big impact installation in Hoxton, London.

Comprised of wall-mountable hexagonal tiles that create a modular speaker system in a variety of sizes and colours, Beosound Shape was masterminded by Danish designer Øivind Slaatto and first unveiled in April of last year ahead of its August release.

Long-term partners, Kvadrat has worked with Bang & Olufsen to nuture a distinctly Danish design with the BeoSound Shape, with Kvadrat supplying a number of wool fabrics in moss green, pink, dark blue and brown so an installation can match the style of a home or commercial environment.

The recent installation at Kvadrat’s London showroom comprises of 13 tiles extending upwards with five deployed horizontally to suit the acoustics of the high ceilinged, industrial environment. A number of colours are used to demonstrate the assortment of options available.

Bang & Olufsen’s installation at the Kvadrat is available to check out at the company’s UK base in Hoxton, London until the end of August.
