LG is introducing Amazon Alexa alongside the already existing Google Assistant to its new TVs supported by its renewed ThinQ AI technology.
LG’s AI technology brand, ThinQ AI allows 2019 TV owners to connect devices in the home using Google Assistant or the newly added Amazon Alexa.
Google Assistant was integrated into LG smart TVs last year, but the company has now decided to add Amazon Alexa to give users more options when using the product. LG 2019 TV owners can now start routines, control smart home devices, and voice-control their Amazon content.
The new TVs come in four series: Z9, W9, E9 and C9 and have an 8K 88-inch Z9 OLED.
LG has also included the alpha 9 (α9) Gen 2 processor inside meaning that the TV can adjust the picture and the sound depending on the source. AI and machine learning allows the TVs to adjust the brightness to compensate for its surroundings.
