LG Electronics Gulf and Schneider Electric ‘unlock value through smarter energy’ in UAE partnership

LG Electronics Gulf has signed an agreement to integrate its platforms with Schneider Electric for energy-efficient, intelligent and sustainable living environments.

The consumer electronics and smart tech company commits to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the energy management specialist to spearhead innovation across the Middle East.

Signed by LG’s Gulf president Sa Nyoung Kim and Schneider’s president of Gulf countries Amel Chadli, the MoU paves the way for integrations between LG’s connected home ecosystems and Schneider’s digital platforms like EcoStrxure and SpaceLogic KNX.

Chadli said: “Partnering with LG Electronics allows us to unlock new value through smarter energy use, seamless automation and enhanced user experiences.

“This is an important step towards accelerating our vision for digital transformation for smart and sustainable homes.

“Together we are creating new possibilities in energy-efficient automation and intelligent home environments.”

A joint working group will exchange market insights and business opportunities to implement the collaboration, starting with countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) before expanding into the broader Middle East region.

Chadli added that buildings generate almost 34% of annual global CO2 emissions and render smart infrastructure a critical focus area for the industry.
