Monitor Audio Group has expanded its marketing department to welcome Michael Johnson who will head up the company’s global marketing team.
Previously the European marketing director for KEF, Johnson brings 20 years of experience in audio and consumer electronics, as well as a wealth of marketing experience and industry knowledge, to his new role within the group, which is made up of Monitor Audio, Roksan and Blok.
Re-joining the company, Johnson formerly worked for Monitor Audio from 2005 to 2010.
Robert Barford, Monitor Audio Group CEO said: “We’ve been developing our internal teams significantly over the last few years, with expansion in acoustic engineering, industrial design, production, operations and sales. Marketing was the last piece of the puzzle that we needed to fit into place and we’re now really pleased to be able to do just that by welcoming Michael back into the fold.
“This appointment will now allow us to put in place the appropriate marketing framework to continue our professionalisation of the department and grow the MAG brand portfolio in line with our vision.”
“It’s wonderful to be able to re-join Monitor Audio Group at such a pivotal moment in their brand story,” added Johnson. “What with Monitor Audio being 50 years old this year, the recently announced ‘Concept 50’ flagship speaker at High-End Munich – to significant media interest and excitement – and Roksan closing in on its 40th anniversary, there is a huge amount of momentum, positivity, talent and ambition within the Group. It’s wonderful to be able to add value and continue the success story. It’s great to be back!”
