P5 launches the next generation multi-channel DIN Rail mountable dimmer with power consumption monitoring at Integrated Systems Europe 2014.
P5’s FutureNow product line is designed for controlling lights, window coverings and for general purpose automation.
The FNIP-6x2AD six-channel dimmer is the newest member of FutureNow Ethernet DIN Rail modules. The dimmer is also available with FN485 bus interface.
This module is an “all in one†smart dimmer supporting both trailing and leading edge dimming (suitable for resistive, capacitive and inductive loads) with automatic load type detection. It offers built-in overload protection and six galvanically isolated digital inputs for contact sensors or manual operation.
Each output rates at 750W for incandescent loads, 400W for compact fluorescents and
250W for LEDs if the combined load on all channels is less than 3000W. It is also possible to combine two outputs for additional wattage.
The most exciting new features include voltage, frequency, power consumption and temperature metering. The dimmer allows setting minimum and maximum dim levels and adjusting the ramp rate.
P5’s open protocol enables all FutureNow modules to be seamlessly integrated with any home automation controller. The IP series also have a built-in web server for configuration, control, monitoring and firmware upgrade.
Finally, P5’s free mobile application offers simple configuration and control from network enabled devices and smartphones.
