IntelliVision has been granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office titled ‘System and Method for Scalable Cloud Services’.
The patent was awarded for the scalable cloud-based system that allows a video camera to recognise an event, upload the event data from the camera to the cloud server, and allow retrieval of the event data by end-user devices such as smartphones, with the ability for on-demand live streaming/viewing and further analytics computation in the cloud.
The system usually runs over cloud services such as Amazon EC2, Microsoft Windows Azure or the Google App Engine. End users can use their mobile devices to set up and configure the camera as well as viewing live streams. Analytics events are stored and managed in the cloud through these video cloud services.
