Perlisten Audio enters UK market through Karma-AV distribution

Karma-AV has announced that it has added the Perlisten Audio range of loudspeakers and subwoofers to it product portfolio in the UK.

Based in Wisconsin, US and founded in 2016, Perlisten Audio is entering the UK market for the first time. Across its sites in the US, Denmark and China, it focuses on R&D, marketing and manufacturing in order to offer music and home cinema enthusiasts high-quality audio products with greater fidelity and value.

The company has dedicated over five years of advanced modelling, measurement and listening to develop its own transducers, electronics and software entirely in-house.

Perlisten Audio’s range of loudspeakers and subwoofers benefit from its proprietary technologies, including its Directivity Pattern Control (DPC) array, comprising a waveguided 28mm Beryllium dome tweeter and twin 28mm ‘Textreme’ Poly Carbon midrange diaphragms, engineered in a single unit to generate accurate and natural dispersion and coherence from 1kHZ-30kHz.

Its DPC is utilised in Perlisten’s latest Signature ‘S’ range of loudspeakers, which is made up of the S7 4-way Tower, a matching S7 Centre model, the 3-way stand-mounting S5 Monitor, a 3-way S4s angles surround/height/LCR design, and a bookshelf version, the S4b.

Each of the models feature the DPC which is complemented by multiple or single 180mm Textreme woofers according to system size.

The series below the S Series is the Reference ‘R’ Series, which is in similar configurations but deploys a DPC-Array of three 26mm silk domes and twin HFP pulp woofers, supported by 165mm HFP woofers.

Perlisten’s range of four active subwoofers incorporate proprietary amplification, DSP and app control. Sitting at the top of the range, the D215s features twin 380mm carbon fibre woofers in a push-pull configuration, driven by a 3kW Perlisten amplifier, while the compact D12s uses a 300mm carbon fibre driver and 1.5kW amplifier. The entire subwoofer range includes 48-bit DSP and 32-bit processing, a 2.4” LCD colour touchscreen display and proprietary app control.

The S Series models are available in high gloss ebony and high gloss black or white, apart from the S4s which is only available in gloss black or white. The R Series models are available in high gloss black. The D Series subs are available in a piano black finish.

According to the company, Perlisten Audio is the first brand to receive THX Dominus Certification, the newest and largest performance class of THX Certification, designed to bridge the gap between large home theatre speakers and those used in commercial cinemas around the world. Certified to reproduce very high SPLs with low distortion, THX Certified Dominus speakers are ideal for rooms up to 184 cubic metres with up to a 6m viewing distance.
