RTI’s new KX4 touchpanel, with a built-in processor for easy and intuitive single-room control, will be unveiled at CEDIA Expo, along with RTI Music Streaming and Video over IP, all unified by the new Integration Designer 11 control application programming software.
On booth 16049, the brand new KX4 touchpanel will make its debut. Shipping from 1 November, the new touchpanel features a built-in processor to simplify single-room resimercial and commercial installations and offers the on-wall control and processing power required to control multiple devices. It has a 4” high-resolution capacitive touch display with five configurable hard buttons that can be customised with RTI’s Laser Shark engraving.
The built-in control processor delivers robust capabilities to maximise integration with connected devices, including support for two-way drivers, the RTiPanel Mobile App, and can be used as either a standalone processor or a secondary processor in larger configurations. Back-panel connections enable direct control of connected devices via IR, IP, and two RS-232 ports, and include six voltage sense ports with sense-event capabilities and four relays for control via contact closure.
RTI’s Integration Designer 11 programming software will take centre stage, designed to enable installers to achieve faster, more efficient installations with advanced customisation. It features the all-new “Coral” template, with pre-configured home pages, swappable backgrounds, customisable scroll bars across the touchscreens, and new fonts – all with auto-programming that adds efficiency to every project.

An example of the added efficiency is the built-in driver library, which saves time on every project by enabling integrators to find all drivers without leaving the software and searching on a separate driver site. And more than ever before, RTI programming is easily reusable, saving integrators even more time.
Integrators will also get the chance to experience RTI Music and the MS-3 and MS-1 Music Streamers in action. The RTI Music platform provides an entirely seamless streaming experience within any RTI system, eliminating the need, for example, to exit the control app to search for music and access a playlist. RTI Music and Music Streamers are designed with the integrator in mind, with the single-stream and three-stream options enabling dealers to deliver the right number of streams for every project.

When used with RTI audio distribution, multiple chassis can be combined to expand the number of concurrent streams. Integration Designer will automatically discover the connected Music Streamers, while the configuration utility makes it simple to set up music accounts. RTI Music integrates with various streaming services, including Pandora, Spotify, SiriusXM, iHeart, TuneIn, and an AirPlay option to enable Apple Music and Amazon Music. BBC Sounds and Qobuz have also recently been added.
The company is also hosting the “Fastest Custom Installation Ever” manufacturer’s training on Friday 30 September in room C147 from 11am-12.30pm. The session will show how installers can achieve faster, more efficient installations for projects of all sizes using Integration Designer 11. The class will demonstrate programming a single room system in real time, highlighting the auto-programming and other time-saving performance tools of Integration Designer 11. There will also be a Q&A and a chance to win a single-room control system complete with an RTI Music Streamer.
