Samsung Electronics is showcasing its vision for smarter living at the Samsung EU Forum 2015 in Monaco. In addition showcasing its 88-inch SUHD TV, Samsung is also launching new audio solutions in Europe that deliver a premium sound experience, and smart home appliances inspired by professional chefs to give home cooks a better experience in the kitchen. “Samsung is all about delivering amazing experiences, and we can do this because of our absolute focus on the needs of consumers,” says BK Yoon, CEO and President of Samsung Electronics. Samsung is showcasing the 88-inch JS9500 TV, powered by its exclusive, eco-friendly, nano-crystal display technology and intelligent SUHD capabilities. The SUHD re-mastering engine automatically analyses the brightness of images to minimise additional power consumption, while delivering stunning contrast levels, producing images with improved contrast, elevated brightness two-and-a-half times brighter than conventional TVs and twice the colour adjustment points. This technology provides viewers with 64 times more colour expression than conventional TVs. Collaborating with 20th Century Fox, Samsung is optimising content to deliver premium quality of SUHD and give consumers an unrivaled viewing experience. Most recently, Samsung partnered with the Fox Innovation Lab to re-master the critically acclaimed film, Life of Pi, specifically for SUHD TV delivering images with more vivid and lifelike colours than ever before. From 2015, all new Samsung Smart TVs will be powered by the Tizen operating system, which not only provides better connectivity, but also gives developers a more robust and easier platform to create applications for. Most importantly, it ensures that consumers will have access to a much broader range of Smart TV content and services. Samsung will offer three new series of SUHD TVs, JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500 from 48 to 88-inches. Samsung is bringing innovative audio products to Europe that give consumers a more dynamic, surround-sound audio experience. Developed by Samsung’s new state-of-the-art audio lab in California, the WAM7500/6500 deliver a unique, 360-degree sound experience thanks to Samsung’s unique ring radiator technology. This innovative technology enables true omni-directional sound both horizontally and vertically. The WAM7500/6500 fills the room with a truly balanced sound. Samsung also introduces its new Curved Soundbar 8500 series, which complements Samsung Curved TVs from 48 inches to 78 inches. This premium audio solution offers 9.1-channel audio for a truly immersive experience. The Curved Soundbar is connected wirelessly to the TV and can be used to stream music through Samsung’s multi-room functionality. Also on show is Samsung’s Chef Collection, designed in collaboration with Michelin-starred chefs. The collection, tailored for the European market, now features: A professional kitchen-inspired Kitchen Fit Refrigerator for seamless integration into any home design, with ultimate freshness by Precise Chef Cooling; Gourmet Vapor Technology in an oven that ensures precise temperatures for the best taste and texture with Wi-Fi connectivity; the stylish flame of Virtual Flame Technology for induction cooktops helps customers to visualise heat and set the right temperature; and the Samsung WaterWall, a dish-washing system that delivers best-in-class cleaning through a powerful wall of water that reaches every corner. www.samsung.com/uk/home
