Savant’s new product roadmap and strategic partnerships announced for 2020

Hosting its 14th annual dealer conference, the Savant Summit, in conjunction with the 2020 International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas last month, Savant revealed details of its 2020 product roadmap as well as new strategic partnerships for the company.

CEO and founder, Robert Madonna, presented the keynote address, where attendees learnt about the Savant’s plans for the coming year. They were also given more than 20 live product demos, breakout education seminars and the opportunity to spent time at IBS learning about the latest in residential building technology.

Following a successful year in 2019, with 285 new product releases plus more than 400 new partner product releases, the 2020 conference focused on continued innovation across categories including lighting, energy automation and wireless high-resolution digital audio, plus enhanced partnerships across the entire smart home market. 

A new addition to Savant’s Partners in Excellence Programme is Ring X Line. Ring founder and chief inventor, Jamie Siminoff spoke at the Savant Seminar, highlighting that Savant’s partnership integration with Ring, together with the newly unveiled Ring X Line, will deliver a unique experience to customers.

The collaboration means that Savant will now offer the Ring Video Doorbell experience within their smart home ecosystem. Integrators can now expect to see Ring features such as a live view of the video stream, notifications, and two-way audio being added later in 2020. 

Savant is the first manufacturer to offer the new Ring X Line of hardware. It will be available to purchase through the Savant Store from March 2020, with features designed specifically for the CI channel. To start with, the new line will consist of seven devices across the entry and camera categories.

Also at the summit, Savant showcased an expansion of the AVB and WiSA-enabled Smart Audio product family, including a new three-channel amplifier with onboard Savant control capability. 

A new high-performance free-standing bookshelf, designed by Cary Christie for exceptional sound quality, was also introduced as part of Savant’s Smart Audio range, featuring capacitive touch controls on the top surface.

Last to be announced in the Smart Audio category was an AVB to WiSA Bridge, creating limitless connectivity options for integrators. These new audio products are planned to be delivered later in the year. 

During the summit, Savant’s sister company, Racepoint Energy announced it has acquired NOON Home, as well as residential lighting control innovations that create new opportunities for integrators. 

The acquisition will allow both Racepoint Energy and Savant to deliver comprehensive and intuitive lighting and intelligent control solutions and includes the addition of NOON’s unique keypad style to the Savant keypad line up.

Finally, Savant spoke about how it is enhancing its existing partnership with NETGEAR to offer the company’s full range of networking solutions to integrators.
