Smart home solution provider Snap One, now part of AV distributor ADI, announced it will be distributing hardware and software solutions from ProdataKey (PDK) to enter the access control space.
PDK’s integration capabilities with Snap One brands
Snap One senior director Clint Choate has indicated that PDK’s cloud-based access control systems can be used to address a range of security challenges. He said: “Physical access control has become increasingly important in today's security landscape as organisations recognise its role in safeguarding physical and digital assets by controlling who can access specific areas.
“PDK’s access control solutions now empower Snap One partners to enhance security and peace of mind at commercial locations, high-end residences, gated communities and beyond.
“PDK’s access devices can help strengthen onsite security while making it simple for workers and users to access controlled spaces… enhanced through integration with Snap One’s existing Digital Watchdog offerings.”
Owners can use tools to manage access and set schedules for timed access with the plug-and-play PDK ecosystem. Access can be managed from anywhere at any time using PDK’s cloud-based tools, regardless of business size or user capacity. The cloud-based design also simplifies maintenance by limiting on-site hardware and providing automatic updates as they are released.
A system for users to scale according to their needs
PDK’s cloud-based access control system leverages products including wired and wireless door controllers, key card readers, fob readers and intuitive software to manage user access.
These options mean each business owner or system administrator can choose Bluetooth, mobile push buttons or high-security fobs to authenticate access permissions.
Choate continued: “We're excited to add PDK products to our portfolio and help our partners expand into access control and build complete and scalable, integrated security systems.
"As a combined business, Snap One and ADI are committed to working together to deliver even greater value to partners by offering more products and buying convenience, more support and local expertise and more investment in innovation.
“We look forward to adding additional brands to continue expanding our comprehensive offering."
