The Clarity Alliance, the trade alliance for the UK’s hi-fi industry and the National Audio Show continue their partnership for the 2015 event. Clarity will be bringing its members to the Chester Group’s flagship UK show on 19 – 20 September to enhance the offering to show visitors and will once again presenting its “Best of Show” Awards, recognising the efforts put in by exhibitors to help make the show a success. Clarity has taken over the Vale Suite, within which members will present their products, bringing some big name brands to the show for the first time. Brands signed up to date include: Cabasse, Entotem, Fanthorpes, GIK Acoustics, Heed Audio, Kleio Audio, MBACo, Mitchell and Johnson and Parasound. The Alliance will also be holding a series of seminars, with distinguished guest speakers presenting on subjects of interest to today’s hi-fi consumer, such as Computer Audio, Why and How We Listen To Music and Turntable Set Up. During the first day of the show a team of anonymous judges will be visiting each room to experience the sounds and sights presented by the exhibitors. Each room will be scored on its appearance, sound quality and general ambience, in order to come up with a shortlist of potential winning rooms. The Chester Group, organisers of the show, will also be presenting an award for “Best Overall Marketing”, with each exhibitor invited to submit a “pre-show marketing” awards entry, highlighting the activity they have undertaken to publicise their appearance at the show. The winners will be decided by a pooling of votes from all the judges and then announced at 7.15pm on the Saturday evening, during a concert of live music from jazz/blues band “The Terrible Liars”. Featuring Clarity member, Paul Mitchell, of Mitchell and Johnson fame, The Terrible Liars blues band includes a number of stunning musicians who have played with some of the world’s biggest names, including John Lee Hooker, Procol Harum, Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards. Laurence Armstong, chairman of Clarity, says, “The National Audio Show is a rapidly flourishing event and for many is now a staple in the annual show calendar. It’s central location in the UK, at the popular Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa, makes it easy to get to for the ever-growing audience of audio enthusiasts, whose interests span the whole gamut of technology and price-points.” He adds, “There promises to be something for everyone at the show and we look forward to sharing the appealing attractions with the visitors to the show.” The National Audio Show takes place on 19-20 September 2015 at Whittlebury Hall, nr. Silverstone, Northamptonshire. Tickets for the show may be purchased at www.chestergroup.org/nationalaudioshow/2015
