The moment you’ve been waiting for: the 2025 Inavation Awards are open to entries!

Entries for the 2025 Inavation Awards opened September 2, 2024. You have until October 1, 2024 to enter the Technology and Business Awards. Project Award categories will close to entries on November 1, 2024.

The Inavation Awards, powered by Inavate and ISE, are back for another year to honour groundbreaking advancements and extraordinary talent across the AV industry. Set to take place on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the MNAC in Barcelona, this prestigious event is a cornerstone for recognising the best and brightest in AV technology, projects, and business innovations. With entries open now, the countdown has begun for participants to demonstrate their ingenuity across a range of categories designed to celebrate excellence in the AV sector.

This is a prime opportunity for startups, established companies, R&D powerhouses, and businesses implementing innovative solutions in global projects to gain global recognition. The awards are structured into three main streams: Project Awards, Business Awards, and Technology Awards, each with specific categories catering to diverse facets of the AV industry.

Excellence in AV integration

The Project Awards are designed to highlight the exceptional work of AV integrators, consultants, and end users who demonstrate involvement in the full lifecycle of a project. These awards celebrate the integration of multiple technologies into a unified system, showcasing projects completed between October 1, 2023, and October 1, 2024.

Contestants can compete across eleven categories including several new categories for 2025. Our first new category within the Project Awards is the Arts & Experience Award.

This category moves the conversation beyond visitor attractions with a focus on immersive experiences. Eligible projects include projection mapping spectacles, immersive art galleries, interactive retail spaces, rides, and 4/5D theatres. At the same time, we’re also adding a category to look specifically at Museums & Heritage. As the name suggests, this category is dedicated to museum and heritage projects, celebrating innovation in preserving and showcasing cultural and historical assets.

The new Connected Meeting Spaces Project Award recognises projects that facilitate local and remote participant collaboration in single spaces such as boardrooms or meeting rooms. It emphasises integrated videoconferencing and collaboration platforms and distinguishes itself from the Corporate Award, which covers entire office floors or buildings with multiple meeting, presentation and workspaces.

Also joining the Project Awards line up for 2025 is the Venues and Events Spaces Award. This award encompasses convention centres, theatres, stadiums, and other events and conferencing venues. The new name aims to clarify the inclusion of spaces designed for both entertainment and wider events and reflects the increasing development of multipurpose facilities.

All entrants into the set of vertical market categories can also choose to compete for the Smart Building Award. To qualify for this, entrants must detail how their systems contribute to, or interface with, broader smart building systems. This award aims to spotlight projects that enhance building intelligence and efficiency.

For manufacturers interested in winning a Project Award, we have the return of the Applied Technology Award to acknowledge the crucial role of technology creators in project success.

Celebrating industry leaders

The Business Awards return with categories that recognise outstanding achievements in various sectors of the AV landscape. These awards celebrate companies that lead, innovate, and set the standard in AV excellence.

The Manufacturer of the Year Award honours companies that lead in developing and producing cutting-edge AV products, demonstrating innovation, quality, and industry leadership. The Company of the Year award is open to any AV company that exemplifies excellence in services or solutions, showcasing leadership and innovation.

The Sustainable Business Award, first introduced in 2020 and now returning after a break, recognises businesses making significant strides in sustainability and responsible practices. We have committed to planting 10 trees for every entry received in this category.

Honouring technology innovations

The Technology Awards are dedicated to celebrating the technological advancements that propel the AV industry forward. These awards provide a platform for companies to gain industry recognition, exposure, and credibility for their groundbreaking innovations.

To be eligible, products must have been launched or significantly updated between October 1, 2023, and October 1, 2024.

In this stream, we’ve added a Production and Broadcast Award. As broadcast and AV continue to converge, we expect this award to attract significant interest particularly from vendors supplying technology to the flourishing XR and VP sector.

Meanwhile the return of the Software Award will recognise the importance of software in the AV industry, spotlighting notable software releases with a dedicated category.
