Key Digital®, premier manufacturer of HD matrix switches, exclusively distributed in the UK by The Multi-Room Company, has introduced a range of HDBaseT products with Key Digital’s Compass Controlâ„¢ System built in, providing HD video distribution via single Cat 5e/6 and iPad® control for complete system integration.
The new KD-HD8X8LITE, HD6X6LITE and HD4X4LITE make us of Key Digital's proprietary technologies to bring a range of HD matrix switchers to professional installers that provide powerful features and the very best picture resolutions compatible with all HD TVs and sources. Facilities such as built in transmit baluns and Power Over HDBT (POH) receive baluns, assignable voltage trigger/sensors via the multi-function 3.5mm I/O ports and the ability to simultaneously output on the RJ45 and HDMI ports ensures the new products are extremely powerful.
Built to the exacting quality standards of all Key Digital products (and to an extent over-engineered for most domestic situations) makes them a premium solution for domestic installers who value reliable, robust and seamless HD distribution and control. The new switchers are fully 3D compatible and provide long range (210 feet) signal extension of 1080p source material. 4K/Ultra HD compliant with 3840x2160/30Hz/24Hz video resolution provides support for 4K-capable televisions and commercial applications such as digital cinemas, CAD, post production and graphics facilities.
With Key Digital’s acclaimed Compass Control control system built in to the matrix switchers the requirement for an external master controller is negated. Up to 33 control ports are supported, bringing the comprehensive, yet simple control functionality of Compass, via its user-friendly iPad interface, to both domestic and commercial installations, without the need to configure an external or third party control system.
Audio handling capabilities include an Audio Return Channel to enable audio to be returned from a display to an HDMI output for distribution via the other HDMI outputs. Audio return is also possible from a display lacking ARC, by using Key Digital’s KD-IQJump12FM and KD-35MMAIRH jumper cables. Lossless digital audio from Dolby® TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HDâ„¢ Master Audio is supported.
