WyreStorm has made a number of high profile hires including David Silberstein as director of technology and Vincent Philippo as VP of international sales.
Silberstein and Philippo join WyreStorm from Crestron along with Mark Shaughnessy, who takes up the role of national sales manager, pro AV.
Silberstein has a telecommunications and product management background and spent nearly 20 years at Crestron where he was director of sales information.
He was also chairman of the Manufactures council for AVIXA and served on the Professional Education and training committee, helping to create CTS-I, CTS-N (networking) the basics of Audio Visual book, the BISCI audio visual standard, and led the creation of the Dashboard for controls and the update on its 15-year anniversary.
As director of technology, Silberstein will be responsible for all WyreStorm product development across each of the company’s HDMI, HDBaseT, fibre and AV over IP product lines, technical support and product documentation.
Vincent Philippo, now vice president of international sales at WyreStorm, spent 14 years heading up Crestron in the Middle East and Africa as the company’s regional director.
Philippo will now be based in the Netherlands and will manage all WyreStorm sales managers and distribution partners across Europe, Asia and APAC regions.
