Chowmainsoft, a developer of home automation drivers, has launched its first Somfy PoE motor driver after joining the Josh.ai Developer Programme.
Josh.ai officially certified the first driver released under this partnership, designed to control motorised shades through its platform.

Somfy’s Power over Ethernet motor range provides a modern approach to motorised shading by delivering both power and network communication over a single Ethernet cable.
It aims to simplify installation and improve reliability, while allowing each motor to be individually addressable on the network.
The result is a scalable shading solution suitable for both residential and commercial installations.
In the new certified driver, Somfy PoE motors integrate directly with Josh.ai to enable intuitive control through Josh.ai's touch, text and voice interfaces.
The integration provides full IP-based control of Somfy PoE motors within Josh.ai, including automatic device discovery and recovery, individual and group shade operations, preset and wink functions via the virtual keypad, and seamless inclusion of shades in Josh.ai scenes.
The Somfy PoE driver marks the first of several drivers currently planned by Chowmainsoft as part of its ongoing development for the Josh.ai platform.
