CEDIA names Michael Sherman as Young Professional of the Year

Michael Sherman has been awarded the 2019 CEDIA Young Professional of the Year award.

Sherman is the owner and director of French integration company Henri, which is also a CEDIA Member of Excellence.

The award, which is designed to elevate and celebrate the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of industry professionals under the age of 40, recognises Sherman as an emerging leader who is making an impact on the home technology integration industry.

“This honour highlights Michael’s exceptional dedication to his craft and to the entire industry,” said CEDIA global president and CEO, Tabatha O’Connor.

“Through his long-time CEDIA membership and contributions to high-profile roles like the EMEA Board of Directors and the Membership Advisory Council, Michael personifies the spirit of the award. The future of our global industry is brighter with Michael as a part of it.”

Henri was founded in 1961 by Sherman’s grandfather, Henri Sherman, with Michael Sherman joining the company over a decade ago. The custom integrator has grown over the years to include offices in two cities, Paris and Cannes, and employs 40 members of staff. Henri has been a CEDIA member since 1999.

Sherman was recently recognised at Entrepreneur of the Year in the greater Paris area by the France Chamber of Artisans.

Heavily involved with CEDIA, Sherman has supported the expansion of the association’s global presence and has also previously been a judge for the CEDIA Awards selection process.
