ProKNX has announced a new partnership with AdaptEco to be an active part of its Digital Care Partnership, providing internet-independent home automation smart speakers to the assisted living at home community throughout Europe.
Based in the UK, AdaptEco delivers end-to-end smart care technology EcoSystems for assisted living and senior focused, futureproofed homes. With 20 years of experience in the field of digital care, the company started providing pioneering smart care and personalised solutions for assisted living environments in 2018. Using only the most innovative smart home technologies, AdaptEco partners with manufacturers in order to construct bespoke, customer-centric solutions that help people live safely and comfortably in their homes for longer.
Ideal for assisted living homes, ProKNX develop and produce smart speakers that work completely offline to manipulate smart appliances using voice control, while keeping all data of the user private. Situated in the South of France, this unique product has been gaining a strong foothold in the market in Germany and France since it was launched in 2019.
The collaboration between the two companies will see AdaptEco specifying ProKNX’s smart speakers into assisted living environments using the speaker’s completely customisable additional capabilities such as a ‘call for help’ feature and an unobtrusive motion monitoring system that uses machine learning and AI on-device to learn the routines of the user. The built-in smart assistant, Aragon, can then alert a nominated carer if unusual activity is detected, such as an inordinately long period spent in the bathroom.
“We look forward to a fruitful alliance with an organisation that shares our firm belief that the customer and their individual needs come first and foremost,” said Christian Kiefel, CEO of ProKNX.
The ProKNX smart speaker with assisted living features will become part of an innovative, end-to-end, multi-technology, customised solution developed and deployed by AdaptEco. The shared goal of this collaboration is to keep frail people safe and independent in the familiar environment of their homes for as long as possible, or secure and comfortable in residential care facilities.
