Amina Technologies debuted its new range of invisible speakers at CEDIA 2024 ahead of the product’s global shipping launch in November this year.
The Sapphire series marks the company’s 25th anniversary and commercialisation of Distributed Mode Loudspeaker (DML) technology led by founder Richard Newlove.
The Sapphire series marks another significant product introduction from Amina since its Mobiusi loudspeaker series in 2019, engineered to work behind covering materials such as plaster and wood. The new loudspeakers are designed for the custom install, commercial and architectural markets, showcasing the new Symphony Cell composite panel which features a resin-impregnated cellulose pulp core to reproduce warm tones. Amina’s new anti-warp composite skin also ensures the panel surface remains stable during installation, plastering and operation in extreme heat and moisture.

The speakers feature redesigned exciters and upgraded electromagnetic components for enhanced power, both benefiting from high-temperature-rated bonding techniques to withstand challenging environments such as saunas, steam rooms and the outdoors.
Sapphire includes three speakers at different performance levels to fit various environments, with the first two products available for global shipment in November 2024 and the third product to follow in January 2025.
